Mason sees graduate assistants, lecturers, and faculty as champions in our mission to expand knowledge.
Teaching Starts with Learning
The Stearns Center for Teaching and Learning helps Mason Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs), Adjunct, Lecturers, and Faculty hone their skills as instructors by:
- Establishing an identity as a teacher.
- Designing online, hybrid or face-to-face courses.
- Strengthening and refining approaches to working with and giving feedback to students.
- Serving as graduate research assistants on a Scholarship of Teaching and Learning research project.
The Center also connects students with faculty and GTAs across the university.
